Octavian Oliver Godji, better known as Octavian, attended the explosive and outrageous La Monday Cirque le Soir party. He is best known for being is first mixtape, 22, was released in 2016 under the name “Octavian OG”, followed by the Essie World EP in 2017. His recognition increased in January 2018 after the publication of an Instagram video of Drake singing along to the track “Party Here, at a Golden Globes after-party. Even though many critics have argued about Octavian’s unique style, The Guardian described his 2018 mixtape Spaceman as “a spectacular medley of the past decade of UK subgenres”. Then, Octavian won BBC Music’s Sound of 2019 earlier this year.
Octavian performed his latest single “Bet” featuring Michael Phantom. Initially, the song only featured a verse from Michael Phantom and production by Payday. However, the final remixed version was including Skepta, making by far the best rap collaboration in 2019. The whole show was spectacular at La Monday Cirque le Soir with both Octavian and Skepta on the scenario. The Cirque guestlist booking was quickly filled, and the club was full.
